In my life I have experienced moments where suddenly I was filled with doubts and fears of what could happen, what should have happened or what happened. Hours and hours I then spent my time trying to think about these situations like there was anything I could do about them. At times they would even keep me awake at night, tossing and turning and staring at the ceiling without any conclusion in the end. The one thing those doubts and fears had in common was that I totally did not have any control of them because they were either things that already occurred, or things that did not even happen yet!
Also now I catch myself quite often zoning out of the present moment into a thought that does not matter at all. I keep going over and over again to my past. Re-evaluating everything I have ever done, said or did not do to come to the conclusion that it’s all useless. Or I am thinking about all the things I can do with my life, and how I should do it, or all the options on how to do it and the pro’s and the cons per option and so on and so on. And you know what? By the end of this thought I am exhausted! Because this overthinking is completely draining. AND it does not matter at all!
What matters is to live in the present, live now, for every moment is now. It is your thoughts and acts of the moment that create your future. The outline of your future path already exists, for you created its pattern by your past.Sai Baba
Your thoughts AND act(ions) of THIS very moment create your future. Just let that sink in for a while. And while we’re at it let’s also add that WE create this pattern BECAUSE OF our past. So what I’m learning here is that: my past has molded me into the person I am now. There is no need to go back there to redo everything, because I already took what I needed to take from that. My future, on the other hand, is dependent on the choices and actions I take TODAY in this very moment. So I do not have to worry about that if I know for a fact that i put my heart, my soul and everything I got in this very moment.
Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.Buddha
This very moment is the right one for us. We are right where we need to be. I gave this article the title ”The Secret Of Finding Your Path” and you know what? The answer is: You are already on it! Every thought you think, every words you speak and every action you take will shape the path that lies ahead of you. Right now you can give your life direction. Right now you can use that power for a positive outcome.
The secret of finding your path is knowing that you already found it and it will find you as you go through this journey called life. I will try to remind myself of this every time doubts or fear try and take over again. I will tell myself that I have the power to create a beautiful moment right now. I will know that I should not let my mind/ego plant this seeds of fear, doubt and negativity within my spirit. And as I make this vow to myself I ask of you, would you join me?
