Lessons from 2014

  • 2014This year I have learned that distance doesn’t mean the same thing as absence and that closeness doesn’t mean love.
  • This year I have learned that being together is not about attachment and thus you can be miles away from each other and still have a tighter connection than you have with people you see on a day-to-day basis.
  • This year I have learned that it is not about quantity and it is even more about quality than it has ever been before. And that is all because:
  • This year I have finally learned to qualify myself for nothing else anymore than the very, very best!
  • This year I have learned that I am capable of everything I can put my mind, body and spirit to.
  • This year I have learned that taking chances and moving myself from cities, people and even countries is something that fits me like a glove.
  • This year I have learned that a strong spirit can not use its full potential without a strong mind and a strong physique to match.
  • This year I have learned that a strong physique can only be build with a strong attitude.
  • This year I have learned that old ways won’t open new doors and in order to grow you have to let go.
  • This year I have learned that fear is often disguised as something else like: judgement, resentment, lazyness or a careless attitude.
  • This year I have learned that conquering your fears is the very best way to dismiss them, and gain confidence too.
  • This year I have learned that by doing what you think you can not do you realize that you can do anything (did I already say that? well let’s say it again! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU WANT)
  • This year I have learned that overcoming depression and self destructive tendencies you have to start by loving yourself. And if you can not do that right away, start with taking care of yourself with good food, enough sleep and exercise.
  • This year I have learned that you don’t need ”thrills” and ”the fast life” if you are happy and content with who you are and what you are doing in your life.
  • This year I have learned that partying all the time is actually pretty boring.
  • This year I have learned that you can quit habits just as easy as you start them.
  • This year I have learned a lot, but what I have learned most this year is that there is so much yet to learn!

What have you gained from 2014?
